It is an honour and a privilege to assume the responsibility of Chairman of the Northern India Regional Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
I am deeply grateful for the trust and confidence placed in me. As I begin this journey, I do so with a strong sense of responsibility, humility and determination to contribute meaningfully to our profession. I sincerely thank my council colleagues, members, Chapters, students and all stakeholders for their support and encouragement.
My journey with the CMA profession began in 2006, when I enrolled in the CMA Foundation ,at that time, becoming Chairman of NIRC was perhaps a distant dream. Over the last two decades, the profession has given me immense opportunities to learn, grow and serve. Today, I feel privileged to stand in this position, and I am confident that, with collective effort, we can accomplish meaningful and lasting work for the profession.
The CMA profession is entering an exciting new era. Technology, AI, changing business models and global economic developments are transforming the role of Cost and Management Accountants. Gen Z and the next generation of CMAs are not merely the future—they are the emerging strength of our profession today. We must empower them with practical knowledge, technology, professional skills, confidence and ethical values so that they are ready to lead in a rapidly changing world.
During this tenure, NIRC will endeavour to create greater value for members and students through knowledge sharing, professional development, industry interaction, networking and meaningful opportunities for learning and growth. We will particularly focus on making our students and young professionals future-ready, digitally skilled and industry-oriented, enabling them to become competent Cost and Management Accountants and contribute effectively towards Viksit Bharat.
Our members and Chapters are the strength of NIRC. We will work towards greater engagement, collaboration and professional outreach across Northern India, while strengthening our relationship with industry, government, PSUs, educational institutions and other professional organisations. I sincerely acknowledge and appreciate all organisations and stakeholders who have continuously supported the growth and visibility of the CMA profession. Their partnership is invaluable to our collective progress.
I firmly believe that professional integrity, continuous learning, innovation and collective participation are the pillars of a stronger profession. I invite every member, student, Chapter and stakeholder to walk with us, share ideas and actively participate in the initiatives of NIRC.
Together, let us build a stronger, skilled, connected and future-ready CMA community—empowering the next generation and contributing to the making of a prosperous and Viksit Bharat.
I look forward to your continued support, cooperation and trust. With your collective strength, I am confident that we can take our profession to new heights and create a meaningful legacy for the generations to come.

Chairman,
